Biography:

I specialise in metamorphic petrology and geological mapping. I  am currently developing and applying existing methodologies for microanalysis via electron microprobe, including Th-U-Pb dating of monazite grains.

My focus is centered on the petrogenesis and tectonic evolution of the Macaúbas basin (including the rifting stage, ophiolites and passive margin) and of the Rio das Velhas and Minas supergroups, Quadrilátero Ferrífero.

2014: Post-doctoral research, Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg (TU, Freiberg, Germany)

2004-2006: MSc research, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais

1999-2004: BSc, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais

Current Projects:

1.Tectono-stratigraphic analysis and geotectonic significance of metamorphosed volcano-sedimentary sequences of the Macaúbas Group in the Araçuaí orogen, Brazil (project funded by CNPq- 2017-2020; coordinator: Gláucia Queiroga)

2.Metamorphism and partial melting in ancient orogens II (project approved by FAPESP; coordinator: Renato Moraes, USP)
