My research is directed at using mineralogy as a tool in the geosciences. I am particularly interested in the identification of new mineral phases and characterizations of new mineral species.  I apply mineralogy and crystal chemistry as a means of understanding the evolution of mineral, pegmatitic deposits and discovering new atomic structures of minerals. Other interests relate to the observed physical and optical properties of technological minerals.
